Swift rise to Prosecco market leader
A venture abroad
The growing enthusiasm among people in the USA for fine sparkling Frizzantes and Spumantes from Italy led to Mionetto S.p.A., the producer from the wine-growing area in Valdobbiadene in the Veneto, which produces classical Prosecco, to set up a subsidiary in New York in 1998. From then on, Mionetto USA Inc. took over the import and distribution of the original Italian product in the US American market. Within the shortest time, the brand rose to market leader position for Prosecco in the United States.
Popular Mionetto Products and the successful Henkell brand
Today the Mionetto USA product range includes the premium Prestige and MO Prosecco lines along with the young il line from the house of Mionetto, as well as a series of Prosecco and wine imports from the well-known, independent Italian Pertinace, Collavini and Cantina di Soave wine cellars. Since the takeover of the entire Mionetto Group by Henkell & Co. in 2009, the American subsidiary also distributes the successful Henkell Trocken brand in the USA.
