Henkell & Co. at ProWein 2010

For ProWein 2010, Henkell & Co. will be introducing a particularly varied portfolio of sparkling wines, wines and spirits, covering new products, trendy products and familiar favourites.

Italian subsidiary Mionetto S.p.A. is introducing two interesting additions to its product range. Attractively orange il SPR!Z is a wonderfully refreshing, aromatic wine-based drink from Italy. It is a ready-to-drink cocktail mixed from Italian “i am” liqueur, a lot of fresh Prosecco frizzante from the young brand il and Bitter Soda.Mionetto’s Premium Range is complemented by a very special extra dry Spumante, the new MO Prosecco D.O.C. Treviso.

Demand for rosé has continued to grow and current sales figures show that the significantly increased market share of sparkling rosé wines have made them a fixture among sparkling wines. Francesco Yello has the answer to these consumer demands: A rosé version of popular Francesco Yello’s light Italian frizzante is now available.

The famous brand Fürst von Metternich already successfully launched an exquisite rosé version in 2008. Now this fruity fresh premium quality sparkling wine with its attractive, light copper tone can also delight your senses in a 0.2 l bottle.

Henkell Trocken is also splashing colour around: Germany’s most well-known sparkling wine is surprising wine-lovers with a limited edition of its popular Piccolo just in time for warmer seasons. They come gift-wrapped in vibrant colours inspired by the spring. The design is a modern take on the Henkell lily and places the “little version” of Henkell Trocken centre stage at PoS.

Wodka Gorbatschow, Germany’s favourite vodka brand will make a cool and crystal clear splash at the trade fair. Gorbatschow vodka glasses made of pure ice and developed in collaboration with ICE AGE ICE will cause a stir and transform every event into an ice-cold Gorbatschow taste experience.

Henkell & Co is also showcasing successful products from Poland at ProWein 2010: Polish subsidiary Vinpol has taken Poland by storm with its high quality Lubuski Gin. This Polish gin highlight is now available in Germany as well. Vinpol’s excellent liqueur product range is now deservedly becoming known outside of Poland. Chocotella, a creamy chocolate liqueur promising a multi-layered taste experience is ready to take the hearts of German retailers.

Henkell & Co. continues to benefit from its true commitment to the strictest of quality standards. Many of its products were again awarded renowned national and international prizes. Not one, but several MUNDUSvini 2009 awards were bestowed on the Henkell and Co. product range. The champagnes Alfred Gratien Cuvée Paradis Brut Rosé and Alfred Gratien Brut Millésimé 1999 were awarded gold, Adam Henkell Chardonnay and the champagne Alfred Gratien Brut Classique as well as Carstens SC Bio vintage sparkling wine were awarded silver. Recently Fürst von Metternich Brut Jahrgang 2008 received a gold medal at the Vinalies Internationales in Paris.

Henkell & Co. has received a number of other national and international awards, such as the 2008 Impact Hot Prospect Brand, distinguishing Mionetto as an up-and-coming brand in the USA. In the 2009 DLG contest for spirits, Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva impressed and was awarded a special distinction as best brandy.

Henkell & Co. products that had their debut at last year’s ProWein enjoyed a successful year. The product range launched in Germany by Italian Mionetto S.p.A., makers of high quality Prosecco spumante and frizzante, has gained an excellent position on the German market. The Deinhard relaunch covering both sparkling wine and wine products also went exceptionally well: Customers were highly satisfied with the revamped Deinhard products and sales increased accordingly.
