Six awards at the Vinalies Internationales 2011 in Paris
The Wiesbaden based Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei KG has achieved various successes at one of France’s largest and most prestigious wine competitions. At this year’s Vinalies Internationales which was held in Paris by the French Oenologist Association, and which featured 3,000 different wines from around the world, Henkell & Co. was able to convince an international jury with no fewer than six different sparkling wine products.
Henkell Trocken (the most exported German Sekt) and Fürst von Metternich Riesling Sekt Trocken (dry) both won a gold medal, while Henkell Dosage Zéro (a sparkling wine without dosage), Fürst von Metternich Brut Vintage 2008, Fürst von Metternich Rosé Sekt Trocken (a dry sparkling rosé wine), and Deinhard Lila Riesling all won silver medals.
After a string of national and international awards which the group has won in the past few years for its sparkling wine, wine and spirits, Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei’s consistency when it comes to quality is demonstrated once again by its successes at this year’s Vinalies Internationales.
