Henkell Trocken exclusive sparkling wine at German Hospitality House in Vancouver
During the Vancouver Olympic Games, Henkell Trocken is acting as the sparkling ambassador of good taste and lifestyle “Made in Germany” in the German Hospitality House, the official base of the German Olympic Sports Confederation. Henkell Trocken will be the exclusive sparkling wine being served.
From 11-27 February the German Hospitality House will be based on the Simon Fraser University Harbour Centre Campus and will be the port of call for a select audience of athletes, official delegates, media representatives and politicians. The location is home to talk shows and daily press conferences held by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). Henkell Trocken will be served exclusively at international receptions and celebrations with athletes. Lounges and the sports bar in the German Hospitality House are also an ideal setting to meet and chat with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine in hand. But Henkell will also be served in Whistler, the satellite location of the German Hospitality House.
Henkell Trocken and professional sports have already established somewhat of a tradition: The association with Henkell dates back to 1992 and athletic successes were also celebrated with Germany’s most exported sparkling wine in the German Hospitality House in Beijing.
Henkell’s presence in Vancouver is further proof of the international appeal of the classic sparkling Cuvée. The tradition-rich sparkling wine cellar from Wiesbaden, Germany, is one of the world’s best known and most prestigious producers. The brand Henkell Trocken was recorded in the official brand register back in 1898. Today Henkell Trocken is synonymous with German sparkling wine in more than 80 countries.
But aside from visitors to the German Hospitality House, many Canadian sports enthusiasts will be toasting to “their” athletes with Henkell Trocken. In the host country of the Olympic Games, Henkel Trocken is extremely popular: In 2009, the long-standing market leader again reached the status of the most sold imported sparkling wine in Canada.
